Ashima Manoj, the founder of Ahaash by Ashima, is a distinguished artist, educator, and performer with over two decades of experience in the arts. Her journey in music and performance began in 2002 as a stage artist, and she quickly established herself as a powerful presence in the world of creative expression.
Ashima’s artistic prowess was nurtured under the mentorship of some of the most revered names in music, including C.R. Bhagavathar, Venu Gopal, Kanhangad Rama Chandran, Paakam Praveen, Balu Adoor, and Smt. Bharathi. Their guidance deeply shaped her technical expertise and artistic sensibilities, laying the foundation for her exceptional career.
Further enriching her skills, Ashima pursued formal training at the prestigious KM College of Music and Technology, founded by A.R. Rahman. This world-class education equipped her with advanced techniques and broadened her creative vision, blending tradition with innovation.
Ashima’s talent has been widely recognized through numerous accolades, including being crowned Kalathilakam three times at the Kannur University Arts Festival, a testament to her versatility and excellence in the performing arts. She also earned the prestigious Sangeetha Prathibha title, showcasing her extraordinary musical talent. Her national recognition came in 2008 as a semi-finalist in Asianet Munch Star Singer Junior, marking a significant milestone in her career.
In addition to being a playback singer, Ashima has made significant contributions as a mentor and judge in the television industry. She has served as a judge for Asianet Mylanchi Season 7 and as a grooming judge for Zee Keralam Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 1. In 2022, she took on the prestigious role of grooming judge for Star Singer Season 9 on Asianet, mentoring aspiring talents and helping them refine their craft.
Today, as the founder of Ahaash by Ashima, she brings her rich academic background, deep mentorship experiences, and extensive professional journey into a platform designed to nurture talent. Combining her knowledge in music, dance, and arts, Ashima inspires students of all ages to explore their creative potential with passion and purpose.
